The Great Escape unfin. ver. 2

Chapter 1: The Capture

The sound of guns, screams, and planes echoed in my ears while I crawled along on the sodden wet grounds covered in dark red puddles in the battlefield. Fragments of dust and debris arose when tank rolled across the grounds, causing my lungs to scream in pain. The lifeless bodies mourned for their loved ones in their last breath. Gruesome scenes are scattered throughout the many lands where my friends have died.

My name is Ryan, Im a Rifleman in the present war World War II,
I work at the Cotton Club in New York, I have a wife with a beautiful personality, and Im a father of two children. In our team we have eight members, David (Sergeant), Vic (Anti-Tanker), Bill (Scout), Jake (Anti-tanker), my best friend Keith (Rifleman), Ben (Scout) Frank (Scout), and me (Rifleman). We made it through four missions successfully, but not our next. We were recovering from our last victory when our team received bad news, we were going to Chamois, where the bloodiest, fiercest, most gruesome fighting was going on.

In our first day in Chamois we had four close calls for our group. In the first, Jake fell off a two-story building, sending him to a field-hospital. In the second, Bill was shot in the chest nearly hitting some major organs. In the third, Ben was found laying on the ground nearly dead, we still don't know why. In the fourth, I was setting a charge on a tank, but on my way back, it set to early knocking me unconscious.
I woke up two days later.

We walked into a big deathtrap today; however, three of us survived. I told my team my plan that nearly killed all of us today. Bill, Vic, and me would sneak into the factory while David, Keith, and Frank created a diversion so Bill, Vic, and me could start a sneak attack on the Nazis. The only problem was, they expected us. I set up everybody in there positions. From my view, everything seemed perfect. As Bill, Vic, and me were sneaking around the perimeter of the factory a sudden jolt went through my chest. I already knew what it was, bullet. The last thing I heard was screams, guns, and my team yelling "Ryan". Their voices drained out from my ears and my surroundings darkened. But I could feel my heart beating, so I knew I was still alive.

I started seeing light filter my eyes and a foreign language filled my ears. With cold feeling running down my throat I recognized the language, German. I was trying to decode their words when I could start seeing again. I also noticed I was being dragged across the rugged ground, by Keith and David. I used my arm to help Keith notice me. He noticed me with a grave, gloomy, grimy look on his face. After about an hour a large shadow loomed over me. My first thought, prison.

Chapter 2: The Prison

Prison. The word that terrifies criminals and justifies citizens. In war the definition takes on a whole new meaning. Fear; hunger; death; toxic; execution; lonely; gloomy. Those are just seven out of a hundred definitions of War Prisons, but the Nazis makes War Prisons horrid definitions look nice. I noticed that once I was being dragged through the prison yard.

Smashed bottles littered the ground, crazed captives fighting, blood smears on the ground, lifeless bodies stared at me with dark eyes telling ruthless tales of death. I could not take any more of the horrid scenery so I closed my eyes to empty my mind of the horrid details that swept throughout my memories. But then they dragged me over glass causing my eyes to shoot open with agonizing pain. Then a flat, cold, dark surface told me we were in the prison.

*The foyer of the prison was only lit by candles. So I could only see about three feet in front of me. "It's because the Nazis don't want us to have a quick escape," David whispered as if he read me thoughts. I could not reply to him because my throat was too dry. Then the cells came into view. Then I passed out from exhaustion.

When I woke up, I noticed that David was missing! "David?" I cried out weakly. "Finally awake Ryan?" a voice called from the shadows. "Keith?"
I asked with a choky voice. "Yes I'm Keith. Anyways David's out trying to sneak some food for us." Keith replied. I laid back down with relief.

Chapter 3: The Cell
I woke up to a plate of fresh bread chanting me to eat them. As I reached out to get a piece, a hand slapped mine out of the way. "We have to save those until its necessary to eat them!" Keith exclaimed.*

After chapter 3, its chapters 4-6, than its 7-9 ect.

Between each new set of * is a new addition to the story
